i think they should put more emphasis on the ''bigger picture'' story line... having the blonde woman turn up more regularly or discover that they are all working together to bring him down...bring in a few more grimms.....there just isn't that much surprise to it

weekly series is pretty demanding work for a VFX team. There isn't near enough time to polish shots and give them a truly realistic feel. Comps are often kinda screwy looking, creatures tend to look pretty awful in general.

Look at Sanctuary..... the creature effects make me cringe in horror at how lame they look.

To get it looking really good you need either top notch experienced people and double the time being given to complete a shot.

Battlestar Galactica generally looked good weekly because it was a very top notch, highly experienced team.
