Greg The Bunny

Haven't posted for many months (baby daughter keeping me busy.) In fact, since not long after Wayne passed. Anyway - I remember a thread about Greg the Bunny puppet replicas - did anybody make one or know of a pattern available somewhere? I know there's a few puppet specialists here, so maybe they could help out? TIA.

I've been looking for someone to make a Greg the Bunny replica since I really like the show. My number one request would be Tardy the Turtle though, he's one of my favorite characters on the show.

Cwayons taste like purple.

Interesting how Greg originally had button eyes and later switched to a more tradional eye of a stuffed toy.

If you have seen the DVD set you may know that someone stole Tardy for their personal collection. The guys who did the show ask if anyone sees him to let them know. Poor tardy, all by himself. :cry Well, maybe not by himself. He may be in the company of a overnight letter envelope with a face drawn on it.

I prefer the button eyes look, myself - I wonder why they changed it?
It might interest you that Greg the Bunny completely never happened in the UK where I am. No one has even heard of it - usually a show like Greg finds itself onto a late slot on a cable or satellite channel and becomes a bit of a cult - usually a friday evening after the pubs close type thing - Ugly Betty has just begun such a run and it's the kind of slot that spawned Scrubs here.
I only found Greg because there was a puppet making discussion here a couple of years ago and someone mentioned Greg characters. In the same way that has happened here, forum members chipped in with their favourite quote or incident from the series and I thought it just sounded great fun, so I downloaded the series (oooh naughty.) and was instantly a fan...
So where are those puppet making forum members right now?

G-Foyle> Actually... ITV3 or 4 showed it late night about 6 months ago or so. I didn't watch it because I have it on DVD, but I remember seeing it in the listings.

Cool...probably off the back of dvd sales? I mean, the show is from 2002 or something...I haven't seen any of the recent movie parodies they did, but I did see the reunion episode. I'm still holding out for a 2nd series. :)

What DVD sales? As far as I know, GTB isn't available on DVD in the UK. Mine's Region 1. I bought it because it had Seth Green in it... :love

Yeh, but regioning is easily fixed, right? ;) Seriously tho, you have a point - because I'd seen it at Amazon Uk and Play, I'd assumed it was available here too. It is such a shame, as the show is great. Have you seen the reunion episode or the new stuff? Personally, I fancy Greg. It's that little bunny dance he does. :love
