I am working on ideas on putting together a Green Lantern costume based on the design used in the video game Mortal Kombat v.s DC Universe.
If anyone here is interested in putting some ideas together for this, please do so.
I am going back and forth with emails to a company in China whom may be able to do the trick for a great price, but I need some more ideas for fabric and construction.

Looks like a cross between Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan. Interesting concept. Good luck on your suit.

I have been thinking about this as well. Looks like some type of body suit with a cushioned 1/2 inch padded overlay sewn onto the body suit.

I like the look of it, but I was thinking about it more in terms of armor. Perhaps sculpting a master and pulling styrene over it. Part of the boots could be done as well in styrene, much like to 501st Storm troopers do with there boots.

I can't sculpt worth a penny, but I have access to a vacuform table to pull plastic on.

It's a pretty wicked suit. I envision latex or urethane armor over top an airbrushed body suit. I'd definitely like to see this come to life.

This is what I was thinking - I don't have pictures of my sketches uploaded, so try and picture this in your head:

The bodysuit is two pieces (black) with some kind of pattern (like the pattern one the Supes Returns suit)
All the green components are leather, sewn over top the black lycra suit. The top of the suit fits over your head like a shirt, but fits like a slim-fitting jacket (x-men style)
The spaces between the green leather helps the undersuit stretch and form to your body shape.
Leather costruction will be more comfortable and more durable than a hard platic, though a plastic 'armor' could be used for the boots.
THe gloves would be padded and the emblem would be a flexible, raised rubber like on the Supes Returns suit.

The problem I see using leather is that it doesn't work real-world! I mean...I know, this is not real, but the bulk of that suit in the chest and back would then be leather, and leather gets stiff, doesn't "give" it also stretches over time and gets baggy. If GL was real, that suit would be slick, tight, aerodynamic etc. im thinking leather is too bulky, even soft thin leather. Hmmmm. IMO

I also think sub dye for teh black is a must. Like u said a Sups Returns suit. I had a sub dye suit done that looks amazing. Maybe foam latex for the armour parts? IMO
