Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

Still making these if anyone wants one. Very limited supply of the gold lenses so if you are on the fence, time to make a decision :)

Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

Are the gold lenses different from what was originally offered with the helmet? or has been same ones from the get go? Thanks.

Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

Started work on this awesome helmet, just a few pin holes to take care of before its ready for painting, this will be one of my favorite piece in my collection without a doubt and I'm not going to cheap out on the paint job , my brother in law works at a body shop and showed me a small bottle of the green to purple color shift paint which I spread on a spoon and its almost a perfect match, correct hue and purple effect, I actually got the goosebumps when I saw it but its not cheap, will post photos hopefully by the weekend.

Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

Just went to pick up my color shift paint, here's two original helmets in different light settings, my paint sample was airbrushed on a plain white plastic spoon, on actual helmet I will apply a silver base coat first, but this gives you a good idea how close my paint matches, with correct satin finish and correct green/purple hue, left picture was taking outside and right indoor. To paint a full car with this paint is approx. 5K just in paint.

Here's the movie correct color shift paint I found applied on the helmet, after many trials and errors I found the correct painting technique to match the screen used helmet colors. I'll let the pics speak for themselves :)

Looking forward to the finished build :)

Still have a few more sets of lenses left if anyone else wants to get one. Once we run out of lenses you will need to source them on your own.

Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

I Agree Looking forward to the outcome of the paint. Have been wanting to try that type of paint

Its a big gamble and might be a expensive one, I don't agree with them saying to be applied on a black base color will be way too dark, I would go with a very fine metallic silver base coat instead, I tried black as suggested by some and it was way too dark, just do some tests first and make sure your helmet is well prepped as all the defect will show on your top colorshift paint, this paint is a real pain to work with very translucent, it required 10 med coat to achieve the correct color and that's on silver base coat which is light, I can only imagine if I would have use a black base coat. Everything was painted using a automotive HVLP touch up airbrush in my garage :)

Wow that looks amazing!! I also have a spray gun and im toying with the idea of making one, but would you be willing to share the color codes for the color of paint you used?

Re: Green Goblin COLLECTING PAYMENTS.

Out of curiosity are the upper teeth different from the lower ones? since mine look identical.
