Greedo Killer Question...

Howdy y'all.

I've been working on my greedo killer/alternate blaster, and I'm curious, what is your preference on scope rings position? The screenshot I've seen seems to have them placed together on the scope mount behind the adjustor knob things, and the black and white/chronicles shot has one on the scope mount, and the other hanging on the other side of the knobs. What placement did you guys go with and why? Also pics? (you gotta love the shameless grab for more pics.)


Oh, and are there any commercial scope rings that are close enough available today? I haven't found ones good enough yet. Anyone have a part no.?

The screen used up close shot has Weaver type "Tip-off" rings......the Vis. Dic. picture has the "Football" type rings with the Grease Gun flash suppressor with one ring behind the knobs and one in front.....I'm partial to the screen used one.

I've got a set of vintage "Football" rings in EXCELLENT condition with the correct size knobs and attachement that I might be swayed to sell if the price was right They reside on my own GK....but I've got the "Tip-offs" also that I change out from time to time. I think I have a set of Weaver "Tip-offs"........

My preference is the screen-used scope rings, and position.
The Weaver scope rings come in three height variations. I think it is either the highest or the middle, but not the lowest one (the one I have). The thumbscrews also vary between models.

I doubt I could meet your price at this point, I'm kind running low on the prop budget right now, I'm looking for something close so I can at least assemble the blaster right now. Later when I've saved a little more I'll upgrade to accurate rings.


Thanks for the info, does anyone have a line on a set of off the shelf rings that are close right now?

Look through the scope rings on ebay. You should find a modern alternative without much problem.
