Hello all!
I am a new member here but I have been reading from this site for a few months now so I decided to sign up and join the rest of all you other Star Wars lovers out there! I have been reading up on the eFX Limited Edition Darth Vader helmet. I was really skeptical to buy one of these because of all the issues that I have read about them. But I have been wanting a ANH Vader lid for so long that I decided to take my chances, and I am very glad that I did!!

I looked for everything that has been noted before with the problems such as the paint rubs from the styrofoam, off center dome, cracks, sagging interior, scratches, etc. when I opened up the box I was SO happy that mine came issue free! This is such an awesome Helmet!!! I got #130 of 1000. I also have a Deluxe Don Post Empire Strikes Back Helmet that I bought back in 1996 to accompany this one. That helmet is #46 of supposedly 1000 but I read somewhere that Don Post lost licensing rights before they got all 1000 finished. Can anyone confirm that?

When I got the DP Deluxe Vader I had to send 3 of them back before I got a good one! Issues were warped tusks, over spray on the lenses, terrible paint jobs etc but they finally got it right! Since I'm new I'm not real sure how to post pictures but I'm fixing to give it a shot anyway lol BTW, I also bought the eFX Sandtrooper helmet. It looks WAY better than the advertisement pictures. I am a very happy customer eFX! Fantastic job and KUDOS!!! Here is #130! Let me know what you all think!!

Don Post finished the 1,000 Deluxe Vaders I believe.

It's funny you posted about it as I have Don Post Deluxe Vader #45. You can see it on my collection link in my signature.

Unlike the Don Post that were numbered as they came off the line, that is not the case with current collectibles. As I understand it, and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, the numbers are randomly given nowadays.

It mattered back in the Don Post days but I don't think it matters as much now.

Anyway congrats on the new helmet. Still need a ANH myself.

Let's see some pics of it next to the D.P. Deluxe.

The D.P. Deluxe is still one of the best Vader helmets out there as far as I am concerned.

Congrats again.

Thank you,Tom I really appreciate it! Ill take some pics of both helmets side by side in a few more days when I have time and make a new post to show the comparisons so keep an eye out. Thanks!!!

I wouldnt say that. The Dome detail is to soft for ESB and the later ones suffered from warpage. The dome mount is too high.

Congrats on the helmet Darthvaydr! The EFX is the best produced helmet to date and I really can't see any other company being able to achieve anything better :thumbsup

The DP DLX was ROTJ style hence the soft dome and center strip and was a very nice helmet for a mass produced Vader of it's time. Of course the EFX is light years ahead, but the DP DLX and CA should be recognised for what they were IMHO.

Cheers,

Kraig

Congrats. Its really a nice prop to have. I have one myself and think pretty highly of it. You wont find a better mass produced vader.

Got mine #59 and I think it is awesome! I love it!!

I am really wanting one of these. I have a JB fiberglass ANH that I am happy with but I'd still like to swing one of the licenced pieces.
