You're joking right? How would recasting a recast make things better?Nice!
I do feel dirty.
I expected the protocol to be
1. make mold
2. make second helmet
3. destroy first helmet and take pics
4. post pics of destroyed helmet to the RPF in a self righteous post about how you won't stand for a recast to be in your home.
In reality I just was curious with recasting being such a touchy subject.
My wife bought me an IronMan helmet from a mutual friend that got it from the bay and I'm sure its a recast of the Museum Replicas mark III. What is the protocol. Do I have to drop it off a building?
I'm supirsed no one's said anything to this effect, but: Perhaps you should speak to that mutual friend. First, to determine who sold it to them (so you can report it here?). Then, inform them of "the evils of recasting".
There's not much else you can do. If you feel that badly about it, dispose of it. Otherwise, just do what you would have done anyway.

This is the best answer. :thumbsupIf you're wife was thoughtful enough to get that as a gift for you, I'd say they are both keepers!
Phew... you really got me worried there. Good one! :lolYes, that was a joke.
Two thoughts:I think I'm just going to give it to a kid at Heroscon this Saturday. I'm going as Iron Man. I think a 10 year old would think it was cool to have Iron Man give him/her a helmet.

Just keep it. You're already going to burn in eternal Hell for having just laid your eyes on a recast. It's too late for you.
