Gorilla Bio Paint Up

I pick this up from Jose and I couldn't be happier with it. It took a little love to get it to where it is now but it's nothing major really. I started on it this evening after I got back from the shop. Thank you Jose for an awesome Bio and Skulls!! I hope I do it justice. Been a busy day and it looks like another one tomorrow.

Sorry for the crap cell pics. It was a busy day and I barely had time to take these.

Palm sanded down the back fin and over all smoothed it out.

Drilled out the lenses. Those bubbles cleaned up pretty easy with a sharp exacto knife.

finished them out and sanded them down.

Primer sprayed and sanded down.

Masked off the main area and sprayed the cheek and temple areas with silver. Yup doing to opposite of Jose's original paint up.

This is where I am now..next step is to paint the cheek hoses then weather the **** out of it.

Here's the finished paint up. I still need to install the lenses. I weathered the copper with some green, white and black. It looks pretty oxidized to me.

Once I get the lenses installed I'll take some pics with the good camera.

Thanks Lem and Reyals! I wasn't really sure how this was going to end up. Question..What should I do for the lenses?

I'm so glad you like it!! With the copper on top it needed something else.. soo I just took the weathering a little bit further. lol

Just bid on the last ones you posted.. those are perfect!!! The Orange and green are going to compliment the bio most awesomely! Thanks for your help with them and thanks for an amazing bio to paint up!

and they do!.. the problem is the ones that were linked are too small for the ol gorilla. bwa bwaaaa... It's ok because I just put them in to my Copper colored Kodiak bio and it looks awesome!!

Last week I ordered a set of safely glasses with the same finish. the lenes look bigger on the safety glasses plus they cost $7.

See what I mean looks bad ass! but too small..

Sometime this week the other safety glasses should get here and I can wrap up this one.

These are the ones I ordered. Tracking says they should be here Weds. The size looks right to me.
