So Cheif Bast (Jamie) here asked me about making this newspaper. I can and would love to IF I can get hi res pics of the mug shots. If someone can get me those, then they get a free paper when finished.

I think thats about as good as your gonna get brad :unsure.I have it on blue ray but i can't take a screenshot.

I have created a newspaper template for the Fratelli's Newspaper. I just have to figure out how to print it, type of paper, etc. Hopefully it comes out good.

No i could not find high quality photos, but I think it looks good. As soon I figure out how to print it out, I'll post a pic. It's pretty accurate from what I could make out from screenshots. I'll email you a copy pdf if you want.

Here is a sample of my Fratelli's Newspaper. Hope you like it. This is the first prop I have created. I am also working on my Copperpot Wallet. Driver's License is courtesy of PitBull. The map was courtesy of Dario Lazzari, but I did all of the paper aging process.

I Googled "Astoria Ledger Fratelli news paper" and there are two large graphic of the completed NewsPaper. Good place to start.

Well I have spent and age looking for better pics and someone even sent me HD scrrecaps but I think they aren't up to snuff. Unless we can find an original prop or it's totall reworked by hand I think we are outta luck. The txt is easy. The pics are the problem;)

The quality of real mug shot photos would be low in any case. Additionally, newspapers were/are halftoned (little dots), so I think you could get away with the HD screen cap photos as the source if a good photoshop/illustrator artist could recreate and enhance them, by adding detail/sharpness and resolution, airbrushing problems away, etc. Then adding a halftone filter before adding it to the page layout would hide any remaining problems of the recreated photos.

Well are you volunteering then mate? lol I am too much of a photoshop noob to be of any good here.

It is an exciting prop.

This is exactly what I did for a WWII illustration I found on-line for use in the Lost Journal of Indiana Jones. It worked pretty well, so it is certainly a viable option.

I really hope this happens as i would love to see this done with good pictures. Would be great to add to my Goonies prop collection

Someone is selling a Fratelli's newspaper prop on ebay.

MOD EDIT: Please do not post ebay links, thanks.

Brad - Any luck on the production of the paper prop template I sent you? Not sure if you received my PM a while back. Hope all is good.

Until we find a clear photo I wouldn't want to work on this. There has to be someone with thier photos.
