Good video games for girls?

Ok before anyone freaks out, I'm talking about a game a 9yo girl might like, not that some games are only for girls. My niece is bored with everything they have so I'm looking for 360, Xbox One, or Wii games that she might like. So for any of you guys that have girls do you have any suggestions? She mostly has played Mario Party 8 & 9, Wii Party, etc. They have just about every LEGO game except for The Hobbit and TFA. I'm out of ideas.

Minecraft, super mario allstars for the wii, she might like zelda games, that's an odd age as there really isn't much out there for kids that age other than pokemon and lego. That said i bought a 6 year old transformers games as she loves transformers lol. There's actually some kid friend JRPGs out but it depends if she'd be into that. Blue Dragon for the 360 (and i think ps3) isn't bad and it's art is by the guy who did Dragon Ball and Dragon Warrior. Actually the dragon warrior games are fairly kid friendly and now there's one that's like minecraft. Actually it's not dragon warrior anymore it's dragon quest.

My daughter is 4 now and plays call of duty zombies with me.. probably shouldn't do that with a daughter, but mine loves everything superhero, starwars, and zombie lol.

Ok before anyone freaks out .

It's kind of sad that in this day and age this has to be your first few words out on this post, cause people freak out about EVERY little bit of wording. But I was going to come here and make a joke about saying 'uh oh,'...until I saw that you thought it up already heh.

For wii, I never get tired of Wii Sports. fun for all age groups, and a non violent game. I wouldn't let a 20 year old play a shoot 'em up game. The most I got into those type of games was Lethal Enforcer, and only because I think I found the realistic type sprites a cool art form take on it.

Overwatch. For a FPS, the community is a lot nicer than most, and is largely female from what I understand.

I agree Overwatch is good, of course her folks will need to work with the control settings. Honestly that's the only online game i'd let anyone under 18 play these days.

My daughter has a WiiU and loves playing Mario Kart, Minecraft, and Splatoon. Not sure if some of these are on the standard Wii though.

I'd say Disney Infinity, but the online servers are shutting down, so you'd be limited to building your own toyboxes, and whatever games come with the actual playsets. Or whatever you can download before March 2017. Only other problem is you have to buy the figures to play the game, and they aren't in production either. Shame, really. It was a solid game for kids that age.

I agree with NeilT, Wii sports is the stuff. Never get tired of it:).

That and Mario cart.

You know, depending on the kid, I'd agree that Skyrim is a hell of a game. My 9-11 year olds love it the go anywhere do anything type of game. There is some violence though.
I'd echo mario kart and zelda and overwatch as well.

I'll be the first to say I absolutely adore Skryim. It's one of my go-to games when I want to kill some time. My only hesitation in recommending Skyrim for a kid is that some of the content is reeeeeeeeeeeeally dark, especially the Dark Brotherhood storyline. Your mileage may vary, of course. ;)

While the figures may not be in production anymore they're still around and can be found, I was at Sam's Club over this past weekend and they still had starter boxes and figure sets for sale. I'm guessing that if you act now you'll still be able to find pretty much most, if not all, of the figures that you might want.

Oh, there's gobs of them available NOW. And they're mostly on sale for dirt cheap, too. I'm just saying it's not a small investment if you want to get all of them, and that the supply will dwindle, and the game will pretty much just be what you have on your own system in a relatively short timeframe. I have it, though, and do enjoy it, and I think kids will dig it. It has some minecraft-like aspects to it as well.

Overwatch (assuming you disable public voice chat first) is a good shout assuming you think they'd be in to an FPS, but I wouldn't think it'd be a natural progression from Mario Party and Lego games.

If not, there are tonnes of Wii games that would be good (if you can find them), for example Mario Galaxy, Epic Mickey, Animal Crossing, De Blob, Zelda, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Kart...

Xbox, you've got things like Rocket League, Skylanders (like Infinity, basically what drove Infinity out of business), Child of Light, Plants v Zombies, Lego Dimensions, and even the Portal games.

Skylanders could be good but that's like a drug addiction when it comes to collecting the new figures lol.
