Golden Idol question

Ok, I'm probably the last person on Earth who hasn't yet made a golden idol of fertility, but since I'm going to be Indiana Jones for Halloween for the 3rd year in a row (my daughter won't let me be anyone else...besides, I now have a real bullwhip to carry around) I figure I may as well have an idol to carry around, too.
Questions is, could someone here tell me what measurements are for that thing? I'm making this out of Sculpy clay, so I'm not looking for perfect, screen-accurate measures here...just something in the roundabout size...in inches please, can't deal with metrics. *lol*

I dont know about measurements but I say just pick up one of blufive's hollow versions. Super affordable and since they are hollow, perfect for lugging around while in costume.

The piggy bank is very cheap and looks decent too...plus you can drop it and it won't break! AND you have a piggy bank with you for the unicef pennies (do people still do that?).

The piggy banks can be fixed up into nice replicas too, there's a tutorial on Club Obi-Wan. I'm in the middle of doing it myself, just have some sanding and painting left to do.

I nabbed one of those banks and it's pretty impressive. It's made of thick, sturdy plastic and will hold up if dropped. It's not at all flimsy or bendy and it has a surprising heft to it. From what I understand it's a pretty good representation of the actual prop with only a few minor details that keep it from being completely accurate (like the odd headband on the bank and I think it may be a shade too large).
The gold paintjob is a little dull but otherwise it is CERTAINLY worth $11.99. I paid $20 for mine and still think it was a good deal.

Gotta agree....for $20 you can't beat the piggy bank, and it's probably more accurately sized than most of the reproductions out there.

Wow, I remember seeing that once before, and I had completely forgotten about it! Thanks gang...order placed.

Now...can anyone recommend a good, shiney, realistic-looking gold paint, so I can touch that baby up when it gets here?
:lol

I've heard Montana Gold gold chrome is the best. I bought a can yesterday, I'll let you know how it works when I get around to it.

And I'd also recommend a coat of primer on a washed and dried bank. I've seen one of these banks up-close and I don't know how well a topcoat paint would stick to the plastic.

If you look at the tutorial I wrote on C.O.W., I think you'll be able to read the label on the paint can I used.

^ And if it's not elsewhere mentioned, I highly recommend a fast-drying spray paint to minimize the risk of runs (ask me how I know this).
