Goblin King Jareth Costume Help

I want to cosplay as Jareth from Jim Hensen's "The Labyrinth". I'm looking to buy the wig, the tights, the boots, anything and everything to make up the character, and would even be willing to look at a full costume if anyone here makes them. I'm completely starting from scratch and want to come out with something high-quality and cool.

I'm very young and female and it will definately be hard to pull off, especially since I look nothing like David Bowie. I hope to do a prosthetic makeup to fix that, but even so, I am still going to need help, especially with my shape and body. I'm open to advice as well as replica costume and props. For example, is it possible to flatten my boobs and still have the illusion of an open collar so I can show off the pendent? What about the all so famous buldge? Do I just shove a sock in there or is there a better way?

I've done "cross play" and researched options for breast binding and a "package".

You will most likely not be able to had a shirt open as deeply as Bowie's unless you already have very small breasts. You want to look into breast binders. You will also need to figure out how to best position your breasts in the binder to achieve the flattest look. One possible hint: where you your breasts go when you lay flat on your back?


I elected not to go with a bulge. My character wears a long jacket that hides that area. I remember reading about a way to fake it with condoms, hair gel, and knee-high stockings. Double layer the condoms, fill with hair gel to the desired size, knot securely. Create two testicles and one penis. Place your two testicles in one knee-high and your penis in the other. Close the ends. Securely sew the filled knee-highs into a pair of underwear. In your case, you will probably want to sew them into a dance belt.

also pro tip the balls can be found for cheap at neon husky .com and they arrive fast
