I'm hoping to shoot some photos of various Star Wars foods in the coming months (I create real recipes for fictional dishes for a pseudo-living), and I as I looked around my props yesterday, I realized I have next to no sci-fi worthy props or backgrounds. Womp womp.
I'm planning to make some very basic bulkhead type backgrounds, but as I'm imagining some photos of troopers holding plates/trays, etc, I'd love to make some of the more human elements, like stormtrooper gloves, or small costume bits that just gives the photo that SW feel. I don't think any of it has to be screen perfect, or even exactly from one character or another, but rather just aesthetically right. I'm pretty crafty, and have basic tools like a dremel, saws, etc. I've got a Gonk in progress, and hope to level up to more complex props in the future, like sabers, but am (for a change) sensibly starting more simple.
I'm also going to look up the nearest 501st folks, but in the meantime, any tips or clever notions would be much appreciated!
