Did anyone catch this documentary about Military Working Dogs that aired on Animal Planet? I DVR'd it and am just watching it now... I knew there would be major tears (and I was right) so I held off on watching it for a little bit so I could prepare myself for it.
Getting a glimpse into the lives of the K9s and their handlers was an amazing, and heartrending, experience. Highly, highly recommended.
