Gizmo before fur pics?

Just wondering if anyone has, that is willing to share, pictures of Gizmo or any of the Mogwai before their fur was added? I didn't want to divert anyone elses thread that was building Gizmo. I would like to try my hand at one and didn't know if there were even photos of this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It do say "latex casting from original molds of Gizmo mogwai"
So i read it as someone got the original molds and made a latex casting and use what ever eyes they had handy. Not an original Not screen-used latex gizmo casting.

No idea about authenticity of that Giz pic I posted, but I believe that this is the same cast with fur added to it:

It looks like the mouth from the pics of the original are longer than the cast.

The picture on the lower left looks more like a Gremlins 2 Gizmo, imo. Though, if the picture was taken prior to G2, then I guess I need to re-educate myself on how Gizmo really looks!

I believe you are correct, NoHumor. That is a G2 promo shot of Gizmo by Rick Baker and not the original Gizmo from Gremlins.

Edit: Not sure about the authenticity of anything shown so far.

The fingers are fused together and it's missing thumbs. Bob Burn's copy has the fingers separated and it has thumbs.


Maybe the youprops and the youtube ones are from a Stunt Version of the puppet.

Nope, that's not Daffy. He's orange in color.

Nah, definetely not Daffy... its a generic mogwai from Pt 1.. that was probably the close up animitronic model for the detailed facial expressions
