Gino of EFX Interview from Comic Con 2011

Cool interview.
That stormtrooper helmet really is superb as are both the Vaders.

As for your online persona being a tad 'spikey' in some folks eyes, you are living the dream man, living the dream and were you to come across as a touch arrogant online, I think I can now understand why and in most cases, don't blame ya.

You do indeed come across as a thoroughly nice bloke and also your passion for the whole props thing just oozes from every pore.

:thumbsup

Hey Gino, I thought you did a good job on the interview.

And yes, interesting to have a face to put to a name. Although I imagined you as looking more nerdy but you actually are not.:lol

Nice one Gino - it's nice to put a face to the name and it was an informative - if a little uncomfortable lol - interview.

Good job to all concerned!

Mirax...awesome as always. You give the interviews a lot of depth.

The girl in the beginning of the video (I believe she said she was Mary Franklin?) is wearing the shirt for the company I work for! I don't recognize her. (Perhaps a freelancer for my company?)

And Gino...wow...totally not the guy I pictured or how I thought would be in "real life".

A true testament on how someone’s online persona is TOTALLY different then their real life persona.

Just watched this. Great interview.

You did really well Gino. Being filmed is not my thing either. You did better than i would have done and you do seem much more friendly in person than you do online.

Keith.

He is, and a wealth of this knowledge. While he is not about spoon feeding, he can point you in a good direction to find things out for yourself. Some folks don't dig that style of teaching.

QFT!

Great interview and you did it very well, Gino!
I know how i felt when i was interviewed for a radio show years ago, and that was just the radio... :lol

Can´t wait to see what´s coming up in the next few years from efX.

I REALLY envy you for the archives tour and that you were allowed to play with all these toys for big guys.

If I'm not mistaken she is LFL's PR person. She and Steve Sansweet would often be seen together and I know she has been the instigator and go to person for any LFL and 501st promo events.

I could be wrong. I often am.

That is indeed Mary and she is one of the hardest working and most amazing women you will ever meet. She handles all the shows and conventions for LFL, but at heart, she is an UBER-fan just like us and actually came out of the Star Wars fans community! She also handles a lot of fan-relations issues and really is a bridge between the juggernaut corporation and the average man. I don't know if it would be possible to say enough nice things about her and all she has done for the Star Wars fan community.

Thank you, I appreciate that!

Kristen, you are a natural!
Thank you very much Brad.

I have to say, all of your comments about Gino are so appreciated. Art and I had to really convince him to do this, that this would be good for him and your comments really have been proof of that. While this was WAY out of Gino's comfort zone, I think he did quite well. I honestly thought after we restarted his interview for the 3rd time that he was going to quit on me but he finally hit a groove and while he was still uncomfortable with the camera staring at him, he truly does enjoy the subject matter and I think his passion shined through.

I will say, I think Gino was the only person I interviewed who had never done an interview before. It is quite intimidating (I didn't sleep the night before my first interview at Comic Con with David Pea) so I know how he felt but my hat is off to him for following through and doing a good job :)

Great video Gino:thumbsup

You still remind me of Mark Strong, you know the bad guy in Robin Hood with Russell Crowe, or Sherlock Holmes.:lol

I have to give Gino major props for doing something that was completely out of his comfort zone and caring more about sharing information with you guys than about how he looked on film.

Great interview, especially considering being out of the comfort zone. Nice job to Star Wars Chick, too!

I really wanna see a 1 on 1 with some closer looks at the Vader prototypes though! I've never gotten to see em in person. :(

I would really like to see more vids from Gino/eFx with Kristen Maybe with all of this positive reinforcement he can be coaxed into doing more... And feel more confident and relaxed while doing so.

Also...

SEE MY NEW PERMANENT SIGNATURE!!! ;)

Love it. :)
