Was taking a stroll during lunch and came across the Ghostbusters firehouse. Didn't realize that it's about 8 blocks from where I'm now working. Whodathunkit.

if you take a crap ton more i can point you to the direction of someone in the ghostbusters community thats been asking alot of questions about its size and features.

You can't really see the back of it since it borders on other buildings. There's a bit of a gap, but not much.

There's an alley on the left side.


That's about it.

I wonder if they filmed inside the station or if it was just used for exterior shots.

It was only exterior shots. The interior was Fire Station 23 in LA, if I recall correctly.

You can see the interior in "The Mask" with Jim Carrey. It's the Auto Repair place.

A few years ago my girlfriend, a friend of hers, and i were walking around the LES and randomly came upon that firehouse. One of the firemen who worked there caught us ogling the building and asked if we wanted a look around. I REALLY wish we had a camera on us but we weren't really looking for it at the time. Very cool experience. I love your pictures, though!

I think they still have the hanging marque sign from Ghostbusters II inside the station. If that door was open, you can see it hanging up in there.

They still do, I was up there last week. They also still sell T-shirts as well
