whatever. par for the course here.
Of course it's driven by "negative" emotions. That's what hate is. Hate is a natural, visceral reaction to something. So, I don't think it's "irrational" in and of itself. In the case of Ghostbusters, people hate this abomination for a host of reasons, chief of which is love for the original film. So loved is the original that many hate the idea of the existence of a film that disrespects the original, insults the fans that love it, and rips it off all while claiming to be a reboot in a world where the original never happened. All of which this movie was designed to do, albeit without the wit, humor, charm or intelligence of the original. To hate that is not irrational. To defend it is.
Since when is "victim blaming" an absurd term? It's pretty cut and dry. No one deserves what she got. Not for mouthing off on Twitter, not for acting in a movie you didn't like. Not for the Ghostbusters reboot underperforming. No one for or against specific political beliefs. No one.The defenders love to reduce the argument to absurd terms, usually completely ignoring that Jones, Feig and the rest carry as much if not more of the responsibility for all the mudslinging as anyone.
Ha! That article proves my point. It didn't fail because it's a bad movie. It failed for all these other, external reasons. It's not a failure. It's a victim of circumstances beyond its control. It's par for the course. Most of the media are part of the same group think, ideologically driven bandwagon. They use the same exact play on everything. There's no longer any honesty or integrity in 90% or more what they put out there. It's all driven by ideology rather than facts. And, it all misses the basic point of, MAKE A GOOD MOVIE! Do good work. Most of the world could give a rat's posterior what gender or race a character is anymore. Modt the time its done simply as a gimmick, anyway. When the works they're in are utter crap, that's all that should really matter. Do a better job.

It just keeps getting worse.
you can clearly tell there WAS no script. it looks like they where given just a short description of scenes that got them moving, and where told 'just run with it, see what you can come up with to make it work'...
I've never seen such adisjoined movie, like you're watching the movie being made despite it being a finished product, as a paul fig newton movie.
what's sadder is reading all those comments at the bottom of that article..
Neil, here you go. Feigbusters has been officially labeled a Top Five Loser.

There is nothing positive coming out from Feigbusters. Just a split fandom that fights amongst themselves.LOLOL>>
>>>Though Sony said all the right things in the controversy surrounding the release of the women-led "Ghostbusters" reboot, it seems the haters of the gender-swapping title have made their voices heard.>>>
more delusional nonsense. if people are going crazy, it's reading comments like this with folks trying to spin this mess into something positive ;o)....
They just announced the DVD and man the comments on the yahoo article are not kind at all lol. Honestly hollywood hasn't had many hits this year.
