A lot of butt hurt in this thread towards this film. If you didn't like it fine say your part and move on. Put the torches and pitchforks down people.
As I said I don't like to get into these kind of things but this movie is a strange singularity so I want to point out a couple things:
The fact I don't like what I see isn't butthurt just my opinion, same as yours liking it,it's just I'm not saying you're stupid or saying you're butthurt that I don't like it just people who defend this thing seem to like going out of their way to call names which is....odd and childish.
As far as how it's doing, while I'm no expert I can get an idea of how a film is doing by looking at my local cinema and the show times and how long it hangs in there:
A wild success, mega blockbuster will be showing from around eleven in the AM until eleven or even twelve at night in both three and two D it'll do this for as long as a month (Revenge of the Sith was packed a month after it came out,I saw it personally)
A so-so film will get both three and two D starting at around four in the afternoon until eleven or so at night, you can count on it being there for two or three weeks.
A bad film will get a two and three D showing for a week then by week two you're down to one type and maybe anywhere from a four to only late showing once or twice a day-this means the film's in trouble and I'll see it at Walmart in a couple months for a starting price of something like $15.99....
This new GB? in week two? ONE 3D showing at 9:10 PM! so it's a turd afire as far as I can tell...I guess an insistent person can call it a wild success but I'm not seeing it-that ain't butthurt kids, that's a fact.
So I'm a little amused and willing to get into this fight, the thing is a singularity and I think BOTH sides are being a little cray-cray about it,personally I think it looks like crap but if you like it,hell if you want to make sweet, sweet love to it I don't care but fact is this is going straight for the $5 bin at Walmart by next year.
