Ghost In The Shell SAC- Seburo C26a Assault Rifle

This has been my labour or love for the last few months

The rifle is completeley scratch-built apart from the very front of the grip, which was cannibalised from an airsoft P90. The silencer is removable. I may add a working laser sight at a later date.

The Seburo C-26A is the standard assault rifle of Section 9, and is seen in use by all of the characters in Stand Alone Complex in both seasons, and the new movie.

The C-26A has a bigger brother, the C-30, which incorporates a grenade launcher, but that's a prop for another day

The shrouds, receiver, magazine, handle and stock were all drawn out in Illustrator as templates and traced onto 1mm styrene sheet. I made a basic framework from plywood, bulked out with clay. All the edges, curves etc. were then filled and sculpted with Milliput.

Detailing was mostly done with Sculpey. The silencer was made a couple of pieces of acrylic tube.

The final piece is very heavy, and very solid
