Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

Snuff Box is great! So is Mighty Boosh and The IT Crowd. Can you tell I'm a huge Matt Berry fan? :lol. I still need to see Darkplace though.

You seriously need to, it's absolutely brilliant. If you've ever been to any horror and SF lit cons, you'll probably have met some of the authors Marenghi is modelled on. He's pretty close to reality. :lol

The IT Crowd is a huge fave, right up there with Red Dwarf. Mighty Boosh is probably more of an acquired taste for a lot of folk I guess. Consciously trying to be a new 'Goodies' but not quite nailing that - impossible task, The Goodies can't be beaten.

Anyone a fan of Black Books?

Saw Toast. It had its moments. I'm sure if it gets picked up, it will get better over time. I've watched three Darkplaces so far. Love it!!!!! I've seen quite a few Black Books. It's good too, but the main character really gets on my nerves. I guess while we're at it, anyone seen Saxondale? Another one that might appeal to the older crowd but I love it.

Finally gave it a watch and love it. :)

Also a huge fan of Red Dwarf, IT Crowd, Blackadder, ect. so it's my type of show. :thumbsup

Yup, it's great isn't it? Multiple viewings only make it better.

Won Ton on the 3rd floor...so funny.

I love this program, the bicycle chase with motorbike sound effects kills me every time. On a side note I just started to watch "life's too short" with Warwick Davis of ewok and willow fame. Very funny also!

Another one I've been meaning to check out. :thumbsup

I'm just done watching snuff box. Completely mad show with some hilarious moments, like a big funny scary acid trip.

Adding to my list of things to see. You and I clearly have very similar tastes!

Showed Darkplace to a friend over the weekend and it's his new favourite show. :D

All the snuff box episodes are currently available on youtube. They only made 6 episodes in total, another crying shame. Better to burn out than fade away, eh?

I agree. One of the many reasons I prefer the British Office to the American one. Play out a concept and then let it go rather than milk it for every nickel you can. :thumbsup

Can anybody answer a question about Snuff Box for me? I'm finally getting around to watching the rest of the show and it's really bugging me. Who is the actor that plays Ken (the bartender)? I've checked wikipedia and IMDB and can't find him credited anywhere.

Hah, awesome show- I love the music "based on melodies originally whistled by Garth Marenghi" :D The bike chase music in Episode 4 - sheer electronic game and cheap tv genius !
