Has anyone attempted/made a Gamorrean Guard costume? I cant find alot of information about these. If anyone has any tips or info, please post. Thanks :)

Harry Inmann(sp?) made an exacting GG Mask several years back..looked just like the LFL costume topper.

I have not seen another since..they were Very limited.

The costume..I can't remember ever seeing one fan produced before..would like to though :)

I don't know who made it but I think the owner was someone in the UKG.

i saw some of them sold on ebay by a guy named luke_skywalkers from UK
but he´s not longer a registered member there

I was able to see one at Star Wars weekends this past summer in Florida, but those guys cant speak to you and they wont slow down long enough for you to see whats what on the suit. Thanks for posting those pics.

Yes, that costume is owned by a UK Garrison member... he's had it a few years now too..

You can get stuff a hell of a lot cheaper than that guy sells them for...

He sells (well tries to sell) basic FX Stormie kits for near on £1000 ..

I want to make one for my son to wear... since his table manners are akin to that character's anyway. :lol

I bought a pretty decent Don Post rubber GG mask that will be a great base to start from.

I sculpted a latex G.G. mask quite a while back.
Its nowhere near a behemoth like the film version.

Heres my cheezy costume for it . Only chest up.
Heres 3 color schenes. 1 right> I never finished painting.
I did 4 runs before I tossed the 1 peace mold away.
It was featured inside " Dr. Ladys Collectors Guide to movie & T.V. Monster Mask"s"
I'm proud to say. :)

This is one of those just amazing, stand-out costumes if done well. I had considered doing one of these myself but I decided that at a thinnish 6 foot tall, I don't have the best body type for it. I think it's too bad that the fan version is sooo much better than the Disney one. Good luck with this one.

I made one for my 2-year-old this past Halloween. The mask was a DP. The size was proportionate, which shows you how small the DP is. I made the rest.

The shoulder armor was cut from styrene and heat-gunned into shape. I used plastic pipe repair putty (the blue stuff at Home Depot) to sculpt the rough edges and the studs. A layer of hammered metal spray paint and then rag-on, rag-off black paint finishes the look. I was very happy with how the armor came out. The forearm armor are plastic lamp sconces with the pipe putty added. Worked quite well.

For the body, I started with a child's pumpking costume to give me the fat shape. I hot glued on the faux fur. I sweed the vinyl portion using a small t-shirt as a pattern. It snaps closed in the back.

I found a long sleeve turtle neck t-shirt and some pajama pants at a thrift shop which I dyed green, along with the smallest gloves I could find. I sewed the fingers to a shorter length. He already had the sandles, so I hot glued vinyl to the pants let to give the impression that the sandals contonued up his calves.

You can't see all the hardware used on his belt, but beside the large metal ring, there is a d-ring on his side and one one his back connected the belt & shoulder strap. I ran out of belt material so I had to make the shoulder strap out of vinyl. My only regret on the costume.

There's a guy from Indiana who has one of those suits from the guy in the UK. He's made a few mods to it to make it for comfortable to wear, but essentially it's the same suit as the one in the London Con pics.

Awesome job on the lil' Garmorean. What's even more amazing than the costume itself is that your 2 1/2 year old actually kept it on. Now that kid is a trooper.

avoid like the plauge.

Here's the Mask I got off E-bay a while back,(right hand) And is my next Project, after my Cylon.

I'm going to make two, so me and a Friend can escort the Slave Leia's

B) The full suits are just for reference, they are from the Behind the Magic cd

He didn't keep the mask on long, which wasn't surprising. But he posed for a bunch of photos. He seems to understand the whole idea of posing. Sometimes we wonder if he shouldn't try modeling or acting, but then we decide that world is probably not something we want to get involved in. He did wear the rest of the costume while trick or treating, though. People thought he was a viking or something.

These are awsome. Its too bad that the Gam Guard hasnt become a staple yet in the 501st because I think it would be quite surreal to see about 40 or so pig guys from ROTJ walking around poed. lol :D
