Game of Thrones auction.

I know this will be a pretty crazy topic probably sometime in 1.5 years or so, but does anyone know what company they might use to auction their props? I must have some screen used armor. I'm saving right now to get a set.

any information or help would be just amazing.

Any reason to believe that there will be an auction?
I'd love to get some more GoT pieces to add to my collection, but not every show that wraps sells off all it's property.

Since HBO seems set on doing a series / story dating before the current GoT tv series. I would have to think that most props and weapons would be kept for the new story. Of course not all outfits or weapons would be used again. So those highly recognizable ones would be on display somewhere or in the hands of those that worked on the show. Don't get me wrong I would love things from the show. Just knowing if they held one you better have daddy war bucks funds.

Auction house would likely be profiles in history, Julian's or bonham. Smart money on PoH.

Hm, they might auction some of them off, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kept most of the sets and props for some kind of traveling exhibit. Maybe even something similar to the Harry Potter exhibition at the Warner Bros. Studios in London? That would be pretty cool... They do have amazing sets and it would function as a nice tourist attraction for Northern Ireland.

HBO is doing travelling exhibits every year. There is one at Stockholm at the moment as I remember correctly. And yes it would be great for them to do something like WB Studio Tour in London and Burbank. People who worked on GoT, for example Tommy Dunne, Deborah Riley, Michael Eaton, Jim Stanes, Gemma Jackson and many others did marvelous job creating all the props, sets, calligraphy work, weapons etc. I would certainly love to see that become a reality.

There are only few choices for that kind of stuff as not many big auction houses do auctions about one film/show. Here are the choices - Profiles in History (they did Hunger Games and Captain America auctions lately), Prop Store (not exactly an auction house but they've been doing show-related auctions for quite a time now; two auctions for Hannibal, Breaking Bad, Dracula), Julien's Live and Screen Used. I don't recall seeing any other auction houses doing auctions centered on one film/show.

IMHO auction will strike only when the series is over. It`s hard to sell some small pieces, which won`t be in use during next seasons. But I`ve heard of HBO traveling exhibits too
