Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues!

I just found out that IDW is coming out with another Galaxy Quest Comic series! Having been a Questarian for as long as I can remember it's pretty exciting! It apparently takes place right after the 1999 movie, and the crew is captured to repair damage due to their 13 second time travel in the movie!

I'm not sure I like how the art for Jason has been done, but i think the rest of the characters and the set's look quite nice- I think sarris still looks quite menacing all these years later! How do you think the comics will do?

I read a script treatment for a sequel, set 20 years after the original, which basically poked fun at Star Trek Generations and the final episode of ST:TNG (All Good Things...), as well as bringing in the mirror universe. In this treatment, the mirror universe crew of the Protector were not actors but *actually* those characters, and the actors in our universe had to battle their evil alternate universe selves, while traveling through time. It was pretty fun. Wish it had been made into an actual movie!!

Plot Twist: It's not actually their Mirror Universe counterparts, but merely a darker reimagining of the show a la nBSG or Abramstrek...

Yeah, its a shame they never made a sequel- its always been a family favorite and I know the cast and crew can make a great sequel!

Does anyone know if you can buy comics straight from the publisher? Or do you have to go through an independent comic shop?
