Galactic Marine Helmet

ok some more work done on the paint job to make the helmet more like in the movies.
the was my original helmet in the pics above, been working on it as a special request

(1) paint job sanded down to remove the shine
(2) added subtle gray AND white weathering
(3) more blackmisting
(4) padded the inside
(5) lens just in place - to be glued in by the recipeint

as with most clone lids, the weathering does bring it out more

Helmet is off to a new home. Installed the lens with a method I seen some Fett heads use.

Single screw glued inside the forehead. Single strip of Welders shield mounted on the screw. Washer and nut then used to push the welders shield into the curve of the front of the helmet.

Looks really good! I actually prefer this version to any of the screen helmets or toys. It looks like a cross between Vader and Stormtroopers. Like it a lot.

do you recommend a specific brand or kind of clay?

no clay was used. Its a methods using pepakura, fibreglass and body filler
