Unlimited Run FS - Z6 Rotary Blaster Cannon Schematics – Studio 49

Studio 49

Sr Member
Ever since I saw the Z6 Rotary Blaster Cannon appear in Star Wars The Clone Wars I knew it was something that I absolutely wanted to build for myself. So, now I’ve made the model myself, I’m making my extremely detailed schematics available for purchase here for those who also love the Z6!

For these in depth plans I'm just asking $75 AUD.
This is an amazing price considering just how detailed these plans are and you’ll see this as you read through this post (and comes to approximately only $55 USD when converted, so even cheaper for those of you overseas

Here at Studio 49 we are aware that there are multiple variations on the Z6 Rotary Blaster Cannon and as such we have made an extra effort to cover two. These plans contain the two main variations that are particularly related to the rear handle. The first is based on the images depicted in the Z6 CRL Image and the second based on the Star Wars The Clone Wars series.

To give you an idea of what you can create, we have taken care to generate high quality 3D renders for you with some images of a finished life size version of the Z6 built using our plans.

The plans have been created in the greatest depth possible and span a total of 56 pages

The plans have been split into Chapters for ease of reading. By that, what I mean is I split the main model into 8 groups, one for each chapter. At the beginning of which, I have inserted a custom exploded view and labeled all of the parts, which is then followed by multiple pages of custom dimensioned working diagrams for each individual component in that chapter.

In total there are 56 pages, front to back. What you purchase a set of our plans what you will receive is a PDF containing all of the sections detailed below. This listing isn't for 3D files but for all the schematics & Dimension you will need to build one these awesome blasters for yourself. Not just that but has been set out in such a way to help break the build down into understandable stages (more info on that after dot points)

To help give an idea off what's in there, here's a quick breakdown of the content:
- 4 High quality Rendered pages
- 5 Pages showcasing the first Z6 Blaster built with my plans
- 38 Pages of Schematics
- 3 Pages of assorted reference material that I collated along the way
- 1 Page of my original working notes to provide an insight into my thinking
- 4 Pages detailing an example of the barrel assembly

If at any point I make any modification/change to the plans, no matter how big or small you will receive the new and improved version completely free of charge to ensure your plans are up to date. Likewise, if you find any discrepancies, please PM me and I will fix it ASAP and distribute the update to every customer.

Here's an example of the work I'm doing on just a selection of pages.
- This one is the start of a "Chapter/Segment"

-Then this one is an example of one of the pages for the individual parts that would have been seen at the beginning of that chapter

As these plans are distributed via a digital format there is a possibility for what I call “Digital Recasting” where someone may purchase a set of plans from me and then go onto use it for their own profit. As such when you purchase one of our in depth Z6 Plans you are agreeing to the following:
- You are only using the plans for your personal build
- You WILL NOT re-distribute the plans to any other person for free or for profit
- You WILL NOT use these plans to generate 3D models which you will then sell or give away yourself
- You WILL NOT use these plans to build individual parts or completed Z6’s only to sell for a profit.

I know this may sound heavy but all it takes is one person with ill intent to ruin it for everybody and this project is something I’ve easily put over 100-200 hours into so it’s something I care very much about so I’m sure you can understand why I might ask these things of you. So, if you’re purchasing a set of our bespoke plans may I ask please that in this thread you post something as simple as “acknowledged” or “understood” just so that we can get an official record

With all that said, I’m extremely excited to finally be able to offer these plans for purchase to everybody here! This has been a huge labor of love and I can’t wait to give more people the opportunity to build this bad boy of a blaster!

If you have any questions at all feel free to post below or PM me, as I am always happy to help and I pride myself on high quality and responsive communication and customer service!

So now you just need to ask yourself one question… are you ready for the Heavy Weaponry?

Since I'm still quite new here, many of you may not be familiar with me and what work I've been able to do, so please allow me to post some feedback I have received from members on the SLD and BHG regarding work I've been able to provide to their respective communities both with CAD work, 3D printed parts and Custom Photoshopping

CAD Work and 3D Printed Parts
Jonah is an outstanding member of each legion community has frequents. I've purchased items from him here and on the SLD both through shapeways and direct. He always comes though and is very willing to work with people to further his designs towards the goals of accuracy and utility. He's an amazing contributor and a true collaborator.

I give him extra credit for not even being a member of the legion yet. He has proven his trustworthiness and forthright nature times and time again. I can't wait to help approve his Vader and get him into the tribe.

I've ordered a couple of pieces from Jonah via Shapeways and direct.
He's an amazing talent and an incredibly responsive and engaged member. The Legion is going to be lucky to have him once he gets his Vader approved. The quality of his work is top shelf. He's taken a thoughtful and specific approach to his design problems. The quality of work reflects that and I would recommend him to anyone.

The second business I did with him, was to buy a set of greebles for the ROTJ Vader Chestbox. Studio49 is based in Australia, I live in Germany. So I expected a long waiting time for this parcel. But because everything was powder-printed by Shapeways it wasn’t an issue. Since Shapeways has print facilities all over the world I received my parts from the Netherlands. Quick and without customs. Cool! The quality of those parts is excellent, no print marks or layers which will be seen on extruder printing. So for this second business I did with Studio 49, another * * * * * stars out of 5 stars

Custom Photoshop Commissions
I recently saw the post Jonah did with updates on his photo edit work and examples. People I have talked to in the past that did that kind of work never really wanted to do small pieces, always some huge package. I fired off a message to Jonah with a photo edit I had in mind and what I wanted done. Not even 24 hours later he already had a draft for me that immediately impressed me. I provided some feedback and he quickly made the edits and had a final draft for me with a short turnaround. He was very professional, quick and open to any feedback I provided. Most definitely will be using Jonah at Studio 49 again, and so should you.

If anyone is reading this and thinking of contacting Jonah (Studio 49) about getting a Photoshop edit done, I can sincerely recommend that you give him a shout.
I enquired about the possibility of getting one done of my ESB Vader and sent a selection of different photos to him and the results were, to put it simply, absolutely brilliant!

The care and attention he took at each stage along with the regular email updates were exemplary and the finished result was incredible - I had only mentioned in passing that I'd like a Hoth style background if possible due to also having a snowie costume and he took this idea and developed it into a photo were it actually looks like I'm leading a squad through a snow cavern.

Simply outstanding work and I've already started to pester him about getting some more done! I honestly can't recommend him enough.

I put my name down on Jonah's list for a Photoshop edit for my ESB Vader. He kept in touch, not only to let me know when my time was coming up but also what he was working on aside from that. Again, mailed me when it was my turn and we really had a good debate about image possibilities, requirements, challenges we might face (I say "we" because he really makes you feel included in the process) and at each turn, Jonah was enthusiastic, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. After emailing him some images via Google drive, he went off and knocked up an initial scene and we discussed it further. While to the outsider, it may look like he slaps your picture on a background and that's it, I can assure you there's a lot of work goes into making your photo look like it's part of the scene. I did a little digital photo editing at university and Jonah's skilled work far outstripped my attempt. It's subtle, but that's where the magic is. Then some more work once we agreed it was going the right way. Final hi res versions were delivered via dropbox file sharing and payment accepted via PayPal. Considering the work he puts in, his prices are more than reasonable. I'm delighted with his work and highly recommend him. Add to that his passion for star wars and Vader in particular and you start to get an idea. Did I mention he's a really nice guy too?
