just got done watching the newest episode of fringe, and im pretty sure ive seen them all, since it auto records on my dvr. did they ever explain how charlie is back? i was under the assumption that he wass killed by the shapeshifter, who then took on his shape, who was then discovered and killed. and he was gone for quite a few episodes. now apparently hes back? did i miss an episode or something?? whats goin on here?

i kind of wondered about that, but i could have swore it said it was a new episode before the show aired, so i didnt give it much attention. i thought ity might have been some kind of weird "LOST" type loop being thrown at us.

figures, aintitcool is my homepage on my desktop, i would have seen that if i was using that instead of the laptop

Huh.. I'm always a day or two late watching the new episodes, and as a follower of the show, that would have confused me to no end. Thanks for the heads-up about it being a "lost" episode from S1. Although why they didn't include it in the S1 box set (which I own), is beyond me.

and apparently according to the article, theres another "lost" episode from season 1 that hasnt aired.

i didnt even notice that astrids hair was back to the season 1 style

For all the hype of Leonard Nimoy being on the show his character has had very little screen time. I think his character had more screen time in the promos rather than on the actual show!!!!

Well, there's apparently an arc coming in the latter half of the season that will feature Bell as a more prominent character.

You're right about the promos, though.. they'll show two or three shots of Nimoy in the promos, only to find out those are the only shots he has in the episode. They need to realize that some of us watch the show because we like it, and not just for the rare glimpse of Leonard Nimoy.

I initially thought the same thing about Charlie then I thought "WTH is Miley Cyrus on here?" That girl looked like an older Miley Cyrus.

The odd thing about Charlie for me was that my first exposure to Fringe was the premiere of Season 2, where Charlie went bye-bye. It wasn't until after that that I finally picked up the box set and watched the show from the start, knowing all the while that Charlie wasn't long for this world. He was a neat character, and we didn't get to see near enough of him. Which was probably the problem.. he didn't seem to be going anywhere, that's probably why they decided to kill him off.

one of the best shows currently on tv IMO, ill never be able to look at john noble without thinking of walter, ever again

which is really gonna mess with the LOTR movies :lol

Re: FRINGE- new episode, did i miss something? John Noble

Indeed. He makes the series.

John Noble has always been a talented actor from his early days on OZ TV and films. He has also directed many stage plays. It seemed odd for a while though hearing him with a USA accent. The same with Anna Torv. I just watched something here recently which was a repeat of a TV show with her in a few episodes.

He's Australian? They need to make a show for the U.S. called "Holy Crap, They're Not Americans!" :lol

I remember watching the episode of Chuck where Yvonne Strahovski was undercover as an Australian scientist or something and I thought "Wow that is a great Aussie accent!" Her accent is much stronger than Anna Torv (Olivia) though.

I'm not familiar with Yvonne Strahowski's normal accent so I can't really comment except to say that sometimes Aussie actors will emphasise/exaggerate the accent a bit when playing an Aussie so it is more as American audience would expect. If you haven't seen the Fringe "Access All Areas" behind-the-scenes show, try to watch it as it is quite interesting and Anna Torv and John Noble are both speaking naturally when not in character. His Aussie accent is very strong.

I had heard that Simon Baker showed up for an audition using an American accent and was asked could he do an Australian accent. So he did and they thought it was a great rendition not realising he is Australian. They obviously didn't pick that the American accent was the fake one.

Matt (not Australian) Frewer's Aussie accent in Eureka was interesting but in the end I could sort of see where it was coming from. He is a better actor than many people give him credit for and I suspect the final accent was modified after he got the Aussie accent right.

There are so many of us in American TV and movies these days and quite a lot of Brits.
