Fringe cabin key? house shaped key

i recently saw in Fringe this house shaped key

has anyone ever seen a key like this? know where i can get one? or am i destined to never find it commercially and have to fabricate it?

Hey, it just looks like a key cover:

dang. thats spot on. you think they just painted it the same color and faked me out? i was REALLY hoping to find an actual key in that shape. 8(

and if it is just the plastic cap... anyone know of a way to make it hard? is there a spray or chemical treatment i can give it to make the soft plastic into a hard plastic so it holds up?

I don't think the cover is the same color as the key.
When watching the show I noticed right away it was a cover. It looked brown.
I doubt they did anything to it at all.

Next you need to find that little box. Looks like it's just a key hider.

I think it's spray-painted brown. You can see some paint rub-off in the screencap.

Either way, I picked up a few of these locally. Shipping from the online stores is attrocious. I'll post a thread in the junkyard if anyone wants one.

Oh, I just love hwo fast everyone is figuring out these fringe props. And I love that so many of them are cheap found items.

Well, I found a box that fits the look but they aren't actually available anywhere... Looks like alot of thrift store searching..

Well, again I want to thank Juno for the key cover, after alot of searching I got my hands on the correct Key holder. Judging by the screen caps I think I need to remove the paint from it and age it a bit. But here it is.
