right, meat departments use these great big rolls of plastic wrap, at the center of which is a lovely cardboard tube comparable in diameter and wall thickness to a shipping tube. i just asked and they were happy to hold one for me. this plus black appliance spray paint equals perfectly good mask stand.
it's a bit long as-is, but being made of cardboard that's easy enough to fix. or, if you wanted to build a bust, it you've got enough length to work with(that's what she said).
