VERY, nicely done. The addition of the moss is fantastic and well executed.

But where did the tank crew find that over-sized, novelty pen ;) :lol ?

Wow.... you my friend have a gift of being able to capture the real life details I am very impressed. As a kid I use to build car kits but not like you, you got skill. Keep up the good work my friend.

If you were doing work like that at 14/15, how do your current models look?

Thats just amazing work. I'm 31 and nowhere near that good. :lol

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

Wow, thats really good, your paint finishes are exceptionally good. I keep getting the urge to go back to small kits. Used to do them all the time about 20 years ago along with some 1/35th stuff, then i found the RPF :lol

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

this type of thing is where i taught myself to do weathering etc..

most of it was learned from reading the likes of tamiya model magazine.

i was hopeless at aircraft and cars as i always mucked up the glass or canopies, so i chose tanks as they didn't have windows :cool

plus i would always get marks on the nice fresh clean pain jobs, with tanks it didn't matter.

i did quite a bit of scratch building around that time also. 1/35 was my most common size i worked on but i had a little flurry into the small stuff you see here. i simply don't have the patience to do this sort of thing anymore.

it just takes too much time and work for something so small, it just doesn't have the impact of full size sci-fi stuff i do now :unsure

i moved onto figure painting and won gold at my first attempt (national champs), this too has fallen by the wayside as it too take too long.

spending a month painting something a little bigger than your thumb is just silly. imho.

anyways thanks for the comments and i'll maybe get some pics of some other bits as i find them

Very cool Zorg....well done!

I love Tamiya armor kits...I've been into their 1:16 RC tanks for awhile. Here's a showroom fresh Tiger 1 RC I completed about 5 years ago...

I've just started another Tiger 1 that I want to do in a lightly weathered Feldgrau scheme. I've been kinda teachiong myself weathering techniques as well from some old Tamiya Modeler mags...

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

I think you need two scale figures making out on the other side of the shed for those who check.

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

Some people just have a natural talent. I hate you so I guess add me to the list started above if it hasn't already been started

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

Damn!! you're good. I thought it was 1/35 until I saw the pen. Outstanding work. I used to have a small business model making and the like, you could have been some serious competition.

Re: found this diorama i did--- WW2

thanks for the kind words guys, i thought you might have thought it was 1/35 thats why i stuck the pen in there ;)

heres a couple of other pieces i found.

completely scratch built sgt. york turret, one of the barrels pinged off as i went to pick it up, needless to say i could not find it :unsure
