I was working inside a Cal-Trans lab ( California Transportation ) when I spied these insturments.
I asked the lab tech when these insturments were made and he said
"the 70's"....The lab itself was built in the 50's.
The D rings are the same size as the Tandy rings but rounder than the tandy's.
They are held on with rivets, and I didn't ask if I could pry one off the case. lol
I believe these must have come from whoever the main manufacturer of D rings was in that era and most likely the same as used on the ANH.
