I was shopping at Menards today and saw what would look absolutely perfect for someone who is building a Tardis, the Lamp glass. it is in the lighting section under Triumph Outdoor Wall Light for 64.99.

I bet it is not big enough. The glass style fresnel lens needs to be pretty large like about 8 inches tall and about 4 inches around. But you have a good eye if it is about that size, but it doesn't look like. About the only way to find an original series style lamp is to search for nautical fresnel lens.
I used to look for the same things when I was making plans and looking for Tardis parts to build my own. I finally found the correct lamp for the 2005 and later Tardis. That is a completely different lamp than the original lamp. It is a candle lantern now that is modified into the Tardis lamp. Check out a thread that I started on my Tardis Lamp.
