Font for "friendship 7" decal?

I'm doing an alternate universe version of the space program from the Fallout games and I'm trying to come up with the font they used for "friendship 7" on the decals for the new decals. I suppose i could trace it and go from there but that'd be a pain and i can't get a good copy of it off the game pics. Any help is appreciated.

Considering the late great Cecil Bebe hand painted on those capsule logos, I doubt you are going to find an off the shelf font for it since this was more like old school caligraphy than setting up a type face. So the best you'll likely be able to do is scan a decal from a Mercury kit at a high enough resolution to use or go about tracing the artwork from a picture like this in a vector art program and use that instead.

That's what I was thinking, it's probably what Bethesda did when they made the label for the in game ship as it's almost identical. I might see if i can compare the two, they might even have just used an off the self font that looked close enough.

I appreciate it. I was actually looking at the game capsule and while it is based on the same style it's actually not identical. probably because it was hard to do and who knows maybe nasa has some kind of copyright on the exact style.
