Foam Predator Suit

Okay, so this is roughly - loosely - based off of a P2 predator. I know their are some major differences but it was my first shot at it before truly examining a P2 head (bad me, bad me). I raised the bottom jawbone too high and will connect it to the upper mandible instead. As well i am going to bring the 2nd crown further down the way it's suppose to. As well I will be making a full suit just like our boy Rashaad did (thanks for the inspiration my brother.) As well I want to add 2 smaller tusks each on both of the lower mandibles AND extend the length of the main lower tusks (they are WAY too stubby.) I know that the crown on our right (helm's left) is raised too far up, i wish i caught it before the glue dried. So here's where the head's at as of right this second:

I will be covering this all in latex and then air brushing it for details and the minor details that i don't feel comfortable with will probably be done with acrylic paint mixed with latex (go painting professional boffers for Live Action Role Plays!) The torso will be totally built up as well as the legs this is just the beginning. please excuse the camera the flash was way too bright therefore the auto focus didn't kick in (sorry 8 years working in a photo lab.) So this is roughly where i'm at as of right now. i'm curious as well as to the dimensions of the dreds, i believe they're 1" in diameter and 24" long. Am i recalling this correctly (besides customizing the look how i see fit). Hope you all enjoy the build so far. I'll be posting more pics as I go along.

I am VERY interested in seeing this one finished. I haven't seen the foam technique for the mask before! You mentioned having inspiration from that from another member? I'll have to look it up. I've seen it for the suits, of course.. foam and them latex over it. Keep updating!!

Thank you guys. I've been on a mini-leave due to working on some armor for a medieval reenactment group that I'm a part of. But i'm going to work on the foam dreads today.

So, as promised today I worked on the basics of my dreads. I love the length of them they really came out well and the foam is falling perfectly. I still have to shape them before I decide to add more or to leave them the way that they are. As well, I made new bottom tusks which are STILL being shaped. Please excuse the positioning of the right tusk, it's sticking out sideways like a *******. I decided to work on the head and finish that before I use the remaining foam on the suit (which will still be made!). So here's what I have for the head - he's going to look bad ass!

eventually i'll have a a working jaw as well, i just wish to finish all of the important shaping before adding the toys :(. This is roughly based off of a P2 mask but at this point i'm just using reference pictures to reference appendage positioning. Therefore ; what kind of mask do you think would look good with this bad boy . As well, I want to give him a rustic red, sandy brown, and yellow look. Tell me what you think.

As well, my little lady's been wanting me to work on a female predator for her so here is the rough base right now. I still have more shaping to do as well, i want to add some foam in the eye sockets so you can't see INSIDE the mask. But so far it's coming out pretty good. I'm trying to get both outfits coming out at the same time so when i airbrush them i can just go crazy LOL.

and here is a side by side shot of mine and hers. The angle makes them look the same size but hers is way smaller. We wanted to give hers a more "petite" look.
