Hey everyone! Was preetty curious about this and I've looked online but I haven't been able to find the answer. I was wondering if I had to seal the foam with glue/watered down glue first then apply the plastidip or if it was okay to just apply the plastidip. Hope to hear soon!

It's fine to spray Plastidip directly on EVA foam. I did it for my whole iron man suit and is fine and less work

wasnt there a difference aswell in what foam is used, like eva foam or plastazote?

Excellent point that I over looked! Ill edit my reply that I know it will be on on EVA foam, if that's what the OP is talking about.

Yes Agree, it has to be on the right type of foam, or you end up with a melting slimy mess, if in doubt, always use a coat of PVA (white glue) as it will seal it completely and will not react with the plastidip

You can on plastazote aswel but will prob need more layers. I seal the plastazote with pva first then 3-4 layers of plastidip. No idea how many layers would be needed tho if not using pva tho.

I brushed thinned (with Xylol) Plasti-Dip directly onto my EVA foam suit with great results. In other parts, I brushed on white glue first, which worked ok but is vastly less durable than the areas without glue. I didn't have much luck with the spray can Plasti-Dip, though.

Thank you to everyone for the responses!I didnt mention earlier but I am using EVA foam. How many layers of plastidip should i apply to the EVA foam? I've heard 3-4 layers before and just wanted to double check so i don't mess up my suit. Sorry I'm new so i don't know how to do the multiple reply thing lol.
