Flying Dutchman Arrgh!

Just got back in from a Disney Cruise to Bahamas and Castaway Cay.
Great weather, great time.

Africa HOT! Humidity was incredible and I live on the NC coast.
Terrific snorkeling, worth the entire trip.

I took several shots of the Dutchman. Unfortunately humidity attacked my 35mm and my digital for first few hours on land.
Got one decent image of the Dutchman. Was going to swim over to it but, people around me started getting stung by jellyfish which were drifting in from the direction of the Dutchman.:unsure

Thanks to Pilot for the hosting.

No way, Bigger is better - buy a bigger monitor!
Sweet shot - Next time I expect you to "pirate-up" and swim through those jellyfish to get closer. :)
That would be a cool cruise, I should do that, snokeling and a big prop, combining 2 things I love.
Where does that cruise leave from?

Damn, if I lived in the US i would've gone on that cruise. But you should've brougth with you an wetsuit, I don't think Jellyfish can burn you then. But it's cool that the prop stil exists :love

I suspect it'll be there until the full probability of a sequel is explored. IIRC some of the location shots were done on cataway Cay. I was on the cay about 9 years ago and they certainly have developed it a bit more. Developed is not really the correct word as it remains very much in a natural state. But I can see where it would be supportive of film crew use where last time more than 24 hours there would have been in survival mode.

And I like the big image because it allows for more detail!

You came down without stopping for a drink? :)

Here are mine from last year, also rainy and humid...

Sorry! Didn't make Orlando area. Went straight to port. Tried to call you when we left docks but reception sucked.

I see you have some images of back side of ship which I took as well which were crappy due to humidity.

It appears it's built on a solid steel hull so problem with rot should not be below the waterline. Hope they take care of her. One hurricane down there and she's toast.
