Unlimited Run Floating Jedi Training Remote BUILDER'S KIT

Yep, I always recommend baseball display rings. But also, I never turn mine off. I highly recommend a battery backup if you don't have one.
The more you turn it on and off, set it or take it down, the more options you have to accidentally slam it on the base. If you set it and forget it with a battery backup, you can leave it going 24/7. Then just take it down when you're going out of town or something. In the even of power loss you'll have 3+ hours for the power to either come back on, or to get to the remote and take it off the base.

I have two of those battery backups from Amazon and while I haven't had many power outages, we had one this past week and there was a small delay before the backups switched to the battery. Both of my training remotes fell. No damage was done but it has made me more paranoid.

Really? that's odd. Sounds like it might be defective. I've had several outages over the years (my neighborhood is notorious for it) and I've never had it drop.

Wasn’t there someone who made or found a clear dome for them?
I'll bet you're thinking of zapwizard

That's good to know. It happened this week and was the first real test so I'll probably contact Amazon. I haven't put the remotes back up yet since we've had constant bad weather.

Yeah that’s it my brain was struggling to find it!

So happy to have grabbed one, thanks again Trent!

I've gone a bit off the rails from the tutorial though, because I've decided to paint the red-ish circles (like the real prop) instead of using the decals, which means I have to put all of the pieces on first before painting. Today is complete primer day, so with any luck I could be done with this guy by the end of the upcoming weekend. Cheers!

After looking at the detail pics of the original prop, I decided to paint my rings with acrylic paint instead of use the included vinyl decals. Turns out, Burnt Sienna acrylic paint is pretty darn close to the images of the original, and it's pretty sloppily painted (almost like it was an afterthought), so I gave it a go and love the way it came out. Thanks for the amazing kit, Trooper_trent !
