Hello All,

I am a new cosplayer and i am looking for advice on how to make the best Iron Spider suit. I would like it to be made as a spiderman costume but the gold segments of the costume to be more armor based. I need assistance on which fabric to use and how to make the armor. Also, which material would be best to use when it comes to the arms coming out of his back. Thank you for the future assistance.

EVA foam might do the trick for the metal pieces. try thin pieces of it, you don't want the armor pieces to BULK out! Spray paint might do the trick for definition of the "armor". For the entire suit, which it basically red, simply get a red body suit, and if it doesn't fit to your actual size, then of course sew it down a little. Reference photos help A LOT:D

Good luck with figuring out the waldos
I kinda ramble when I try to explain things but...

I'm using Worbla for a Spider-Man project.
I recommend the option of making plaster casts of the body parts that need armor. That would ensure a perfect fit at the very least.
There's also the option of plastic wrapping parts, completely covering the wrap in masking tape and drawing out the armor shapes based off a reference image.

If you're looking to save some bucks though, you can't go wrong with craft foam.
