Lately I've been re-discovering the beginnings of our passion; the wonderfully cheesy serials and early Sci Fi TV shows. I've got it in my head that I'd like to have a representation of these Great Grandaddies.
The good news is that a rough copy (and probably a perfect replica of the screen-used) is incredibly simple to make. The bad news is that it still remains outside my ability to create.
Have a lookie.
For the most part, a lathed wood dowel, with a cut wooden handle fitted into a notch in the body. The problem is, as an apartment dweller, I don't have access to a wood lathe. Does anybody have any suggestion on how I can get one of these dowels cut locally?
In addition, does anybody want to hazard a guess at the found item that seems to make up the bolt and nozzle assembly?
