First look at Rogue One's Most Anticipated Cameo Character at Comic-Con???

Possible Spoilers......but Sideshow is displaying a new prototype for a Darth Vader Lifesize figure that appears to be a cleaned up, idealized version of his ANH costume with a fully lit chest box. Now, this ultimately might be nothing at all, but I think this could be our first look at what Darth Vader's costume looks like in Rogue One.

What do you guys think?

I think it's most likely that they just don't care enough to get all the ANH details correct :lol

I think that based how the super OCD anal Stormtrooper purists went nuts over the R1 TKs that the Vader experts are going to totally lose their ****** over this!

actually everyone that I've talked to in the Vader community seems to be pretty happy with the way this looks, if it is indeed the Rogue One version.

I dont think this is just an ANH that they didn't care to get right, because they wouldn't go out of their way to add working slights on the chest box ( which the ANh didn't have). plus it looks like the green light on the belt boxes are rectangular ( like on ESB and ROTJ) instead of squared like ANH. Also it looks like they've gone out of their way to make it as shiny as possible, which leads to believe this is meant to be how he looks just before he goes in to battle and get all dinged up ( the way he looks in ANH).

I thought I read somewhere that the R1 Vader helmet will have the 'brownish' ANH style lenses?

Well this is just speculation on my part. I just thought it odd that sideshow decided to release an ANH style vader with some very different features. I feel like the light up chest boX is so burnt into people's minds that it would seem odd to movie goers if Vader didn't have a flashing lite-brite on his chest.

Their Anh Stormtrooper also beats efx to the punch. Perhaps why efx will never offer their hero version?

I wonder where people get the idea that the buttons on his chest box light up. Beyond ANH, in the sequels, it has always been his coins lots that blinked.

Rots had the red and green lights lit up, this has to be the Rogue One Vader that smaller statue is the Legendary scale Vader which is a 1:3rd scale and will go for over $2000 no way they don't try and get it close to a film version and their life size display having the same look seems to much to be a mistake it has to be R1. I think they just can't say it's the Rogue One Vader until Lucas Film officially shows the new Vader.

I would imagine this is just a Sideshow piece made from re-tooled versions of their original life-sized version. Sideshow did not produce any of the Vader costume pieces for Rogue One, but they do have a licence to make life-sized versions and statues.

I may be wrong, but I seem to remember someone saying he was involved with the movie. I'm not 100% sure though.
