Because I watched the guy act. I watched his physical presence. I watched him in a film for 2-ish hours and not for one moment did I believe he could pull off being a badass. Now, he might make a darn fine teenage Peter Parker (I mean, he DOES look like he's about 17), but unless they've got some other dude in the suit and Garfield just dubs the voice, I rather doubt he'll pull it off. I could be wrong, of course, but in my opinion, they could've picked better.

The photo and the iconic Spider-Man pose are incredible. I love them. I have no problem with them. I shoot a ton of humans in my business and in different poses, so the first thing that stood out to me is the shoulder on the left of the photo (his right shoulder) was over pronounced and turned/rotated too far forward, nobodies shoulder muscles do that.
All that being said, I was just joining in the fun in ripping on the costume in general, I dont care for the photos Ive seen of it. The webslinging photo above, thats nice.

Even though there might be muscle suit around some areas, Andrew Garfield has surely bulked up and looked great in the costume.
Love the title and I am glad that the black webbing lines are clearly visible, which was not the case with those stunt costumes. One way this new promo shot of the costume looks very cool, but when we think of those photos of the stunt costume they looked pretty bad. Most likely due to the fact that those stunt costumes lack all the texture and detailing.
Hopefully the trailer will put the fan speculation to rest.
