First Look: Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man Costume

I think it's proof of the plain spandex concept, honestly! Do that with today's computer-aided patterns for fit (similar to how Tobey's was tailored) and printing processes for the pattern, and you could have a perfect spandex Spidey suit. Of course, it doesn't look good on the mannequin above with the colander eyes and the weird shoulders, but it looked pretty good on the show.

Yeah - i love it when im wrong - but this story will depend on the director. I don't know if the villian is public knowledge, but the fight scenes in the script are pretty incredible. If the direvtor can land 75% of the screenplay - we'll have something better than the last 3 movies.

We just watched Easy A and I caught a few scenes of "the House Bunny" last night, and I have a new appreciation for Emma Stone. So the cast looks good, the script is apparently good... Could this actually be a solid movie aside from this ridiculous costume?

I have to ask: is there a second costume in the script? Any chance at all that this thing will be replaced?

Wow, so the second costume theory was wrong after all. Y'know I'm surprised for no other reason than it would have doubled the action figure variants and Heaven knows how much licensing plays a role in these kinds of movies. They certainly milked it in the Iron Man movies. Personally I was hoping there might be a more faithful version of the costume but I'll survive. The new one has been growing on me just like I knew it would.

He is supposed to be skinny - Peter was wayy skinny in the Ditko era and this all takes place while he's in high school.

Yep! And I've got to tell you - those fight scenes are kick-butt in the script. It reads like Spiderman VS Alien or something. The Lizard is one mean sob in this thing (not Conners) but the lizard.

Any descriptions on the Lizards appearance? We were all pissed about Venom going from a huge bulky monstrosity to a wimpy little shrimp with teeth in the third film.... so I hope they dont screw it up too much. Oh and PM me if you dont wish to spoil anyone else, but does the Lizard die? Or does just the "lizard" part die and Connors lives? Or what?

Also, how does the "proto goblin" play into all this?
