First Look: Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man Costume

I'm torn between liking this suit and not. I like the shades of blue and red. I like the pattern around the glove. Not to thrilled about the "web" pattern. It looks odd, it doesn't scream out webbing to me. The mask is what is going to make or break this suit. I'm fascinated at how the "web" pattern will meet on the mask, not to mention what the mask and spider emblem on his back look like. It's a suit that will have to grow on me.

I kinda hope they go with smaller eye lenses on this one. The huge ones were cool for the 90's but just look weird these days. The smaller designs always look nice and creepy.

I've been liking how some of the more recent comic artists have been drawing the eyes. More tapered / sharp looking, with more "black" around the outside.

I'm maybe one of the few people that wasn't crazy about the Raimi / Maguire / James Acheson "triangle" eyes. The black outline doesn't have as much character as some of the comic eyes.

Yeah, not a fan of the triangle movie eyes.

A little too "hard".

The eyes on the Japanese Spidey show costume are a pretty cool shape.

I'm sure I've gotta be one of very few on this particular preference of mine but I actually really like the silver eyes as seen VERY briefly in the first film (at least it was definitely in the first 'world trade center' teaser trailer) and also in the late '70s Nicholas Hammond tv show.

the silver eyes would probably be a nightmare for the post production people since reflections from the crew and stuff would constantly be visible in the lenses.

But I want huge eyes like the Mark Bagley style art.

Hate the big eyes because it's not what I knew growing up. Raimi got the suit absolutely right - I thought it really worked. A great tribute to the Romita Spider-Man era. I suspect this new Spidey will have the big eyes.

Well, I always had to agree that the larger eye lenses or openings in the mask would allow him to actually see, though I guess with "Spidey sense," he doesn't need to...
