Firefly Serenity Wood Scratch Build

Howdy!

The idea is to use existing 3D builds, paper models, and movie/tv series images to construct a scaled model of the firefly serenity. This first build is a concept build focused on learning. The aim is to construct a scaled model out of basswood.

Any and all input is welcome.

Updates and pictures will be posted as the build progresses.

QMX has blueprints out there and there are orthogonal views of the TV version. Not sure if there orthogonals of the movie version. There are slight differences between the TV and Movie version.

If you can get one of the ornaments or finished models from QMX it would help a lot in picturing the shape of the ship.

Also during the TV series the ship changed slightly.

So the project has been postponed until after Christmas due to finals and family events. I will update this again when I re-commence. Keep checking back!
