MJF, that's not a bad idea. I stripped both the threads and the head of it, so I'll have to see how it would look.

I need to get my camera fixed but this is a wide shot of my wall display (an unmodified Qmx). I took an acrylic pistol display and used an underwater aquarium epoxy to attach it to the picture frame. The stuff works really well for glass to acrylic bonding. I set up the gun docs behind it and I think it worked out pretty well. BTW this forum is the greatest thing that has ever existed. If I could this would be my career. If only I didn't live so far from the movie/t.v. business.

Techcetera, that screen cap is misleading. Your eyes are seeing colors reflected off the guns surface not to mention filters. The gun was always much more brassier than people accept. In fact, the other week while flipping channels the pilot episode was on and there was a decent snip of the gun showing the brass color as opposed to the dark looking screen caps. In that screen cap notice the lower most portion of the barrel and just above the magazine, its very brassy. Thats how the gun actually looked.

This is the other side of my Phil casting and its much like what the gun looked like after filming a couple episodes. Much of the finish that wore off the real ones was from holstering

I have a fresh Sidkit to paint and cant decide on which color scheme to go with. I'm leaning towards the actual color.
