Can anyone identify the gun Saffron uses in Trash. Looks like it's been heavily modded, but maybe somone might recognize the base:

Also the hand computer she uses to break the security. Game? PDA?

Computer looks custom made to me. No idea what the gun is. Kind of looks like a walther ppk, but i don't think it is.

it really does look like a modded out ppk. im not a gun expert by a long shot (HAH. PUNTASTIC.) but i recognize that overall shape. looks like they have a barrel extension on it, as well as big poofy grips.

also 100% agreeing with the custom built pc thingie. i havent seen anything remotely like that in any toy aisle.

The control at the front of the grip panel makes me think it's some variety of Sig Sauer. I don't really know Sigs, but I'm betting that's what it is. They have a pretty sleek little .380 that might have been a base...

You know, I've been watching the whole series again, and this was one of the episodes I watched this past weekend. When I saw it, I wondered if you were going to make this one.

I think it's a Beretta 92, going by the shape of the front of the slide (right behind the dark compensator), and what controls can be seen. Maybe a Compact? Grip looks a little strange, kind of thick. Top of the slide looks odd, but maybe it's just the angle/lighting. I don't think it's a 8000, 9000 or PX4. Don't think it's a Taurus either.

edit: Also take a look at the Walther P88 Compact with slide mounted safety. I don't think it's a PPK because of the size or Sig because of the slide mounted lever.

I agree, the computer looks handmade.

I also think it's a beretta 92 - but the grip seems shorter and the safety has been removed. The black curved thing in front of the trigger is suspiciously the same shape as the bit in the same place on Jaynes gun.

That's a browning BDA in 380 caliber. Duotone, black and stainless, and it looks to have a compensator and some other greeblies attached to the front.

Here are a couple photos, best I could find showing that side of the gun, but not in that finish.

I did try to find some images in that finish though. I know the guns are around.

PS (edit) I think the computer is a small digital egg timer painted, and attached to a made frame with a back lit panel. I know I've seen that bit on the bottom with the buttons before, a long time ago.

Mag release doesn't quite look right to me [/b]

I agree, it definately looks off as does the grip area just above the mag release, but the other details seemed to match pretty well.

The finish on the gun made me wonder if it might be a Bersa, but the details are off.

I'm gonna throw the DVD in to watch the scene. Maybe there is a

It's definately a compact gun though, her hands are very small, I think the beretta 92 would look like a desert eagle in her tiny hands.

pity there's no airsoft [/b]

The Beretta 82 is close in size and design and I know they sell em with black/silver finished too. I checked that one, the safety is frame mounted and the slide release doesn't match, but the overall shape is damn close.

I'd like to have cleare pics of the greeblies too.

The Browning BDA looks like the one, it even has the ridge on the top of the slide. Any differences could be purely cosmetic, and done by the prop department. If the weapon was not to be fired, then they didn't have to worry about any parts that they would add to the pistol.

Then again, the differences could be there because it is not really a Browning BDA, but rather something that looks like a Browing. Do they make any of those blank pistols that are copies of a BDA? The blank firing copies of Berettas, Colts, and Wathers that I have seen are close, but all are off in some details.

David.

A while back someone had asked this same question. At the time I thought it could be a Beretta Cougar or Cheetah.

beretta cougar

Again, this is a lrge frame auto, it's just too big,and the details don't match anyhow.

The cheetah is just a model 85, but they do come with those oddball "tip up barrels"

otherwise:

Like I said earlier, I thought it might be this one, and it's damn close, but safety detail is wrong, it's framemounted, not slide mounted. But the 85 could workin a pinch for sure if you wanted to build a replica.

I think they make some from Germany and Italy, but they may just be beretta 85 clones, not sure.

The Kimar models are 85 replicas. :love They look nice.

Here is the "voltran" model.

Here is agerman company (I think) that actually makes a BDM blank gun.
