Firefly: Jubal Early's holster

Anyone care to discuss Jubal Early's holster from Firefly?
It could be made if anyone could figure out what it is.

Looks like an off-the-shelf paddle holster, but I can't tell exactly what model it's shaped for yet. It does sorta looks like it's for a revolver, though. I suppose this is the only decent shot of it too. Maybe have to go put that in the DVD player again.....

Maybe it was modified from a Python holster?

It's hard to tell from that pic, but the paddle shape and the contouring / grooving reminds me of Galco.

Still haven't found a match, maybe something that's no longer manufactured, or could it be custom leather work?

It looks to me like the holster has been cut and the back added. No doubt it was pulled from a box of misc parts and used.

Methinks I've found the closest thing thus far, if not the actual model holster...

Edit: Nevermind, JE's holster isn't leather... :/

There has top be a better screen cap for the holster than that. I'll throw the episode in and see. I only need half an excuse to watch the show.

Looks like a "Galco" holster to me
