FINISHED! Winter Soldier's Jacket

Hi, I'm new here so I hope I do it right and stuff X"D

Last week I was doing WS Jacket for a friend and I thouht to share with you progress photos and finished thing. I was sending them as I worked on my fb page. Took me about 3 days with working on the pattern.

Maybe it will help someone.

full clean design I made to fit a friend

started with the back and side panels

more and more element are added, with sleeve there are over 20 parts

almost done

and finished Jacket, the aluminium parts were cut by a Rav, and it's jacket for him

front panel strapes looks bigger. overall, did you use leather or faux in making?

I used fake lether. Also my friend is thinner than the actor ofc. So proportions might be a bit off ^^

This post is very helpful. I am working on a WS jacket now. I have the material and have patterned it out similar to what you have posted in your pics. I am curious as to how long it took to cut out and sew once you had the pattern? I don't have any sewing skills so I am trying to judge if I am biting off more than I can chew. Any input is appreciated thanks!

After I got the pattern down it took me 4 days to sew it together. it's a lot of work, not super hard to make, but I'm reliable on this, after doing 40 costumes I find it hard to get a challenge from sewing alone. The pattern here was a big kicker. Mostly becouse he had an arm made before out of metal and it was super bulky X"D

Thank you, any advise for a sewing noob? I am going to cut the pleather and start sewing this weekend.is there a lot of hand work or mostly a machine?
I am having the same problem with the arm hole size for the costume arm....
