FINISHED Tie Interceptor

This was the most difficult thing I built in a long time...took me weeks . I dont want to get into why but it was a difficult kit.

Built this for a fellow board member.

It is HUGE and heavy. I made it so the wings can screw off for transportation. I scratch built the little plugs that cover the screws.

next is the base...it will be the Death Star tunnel , just the floor with all the pipes.

Very Nice. Is this a kit by Steve N. or Chris K.? It looks like a Chris K. kit from the skinnier viewports on the top of the cockpit ball. Or,..is this your own scratch build? Any way ya look at it,...VERY NICE WORK...

I think it is a Chris kit.

the pilot looks to be molded from the action figure. The kit was missing the arms so I used one of my kids figures arms ...worked great.

As for the weathering....I felt he is in the midst of a HUGE space battle and with all the explosions and debris he would get a little bumped up. besides a clean model NEVER looks right

The color is much darker...I think I nailed the darker blue grey as on the studio model, some of the other pics show it dark.
