Hello again. I finally finished these two props. They're my first real venture into this field, and I'd love some tips or feedback.
The sowrd I made using a wooden Longsword as the base for the blade and handle. The hilt I drew and cut out myself, layering it with a core of blue camp foam and an exterior of thin fun foam. I then added the Eye of Thundera from a spare toy Sword of Omens I bought for just the occasion. I layers all the foam with a few coats of resin fiberglass, then painted it. here it is.

The Claw Shield was a bit more....difficult. I have never tried fiberglass and bondo before. It's a new medium to me, and I'm still trying to get used to it. I couldn't get the bondo smooth enough, and I didn't shape it properly, so it's REALLY tight on my hand. The toy sword fits though, so that's ok. My next attempt I'm sure I'll do better at. I'd really appreciate some tips on how to improve my next try at it.
